Container Terminal Project at Tibar Port, East Timor
The project is to construct two container berths for up to 7,000 TEU container vessel with a total quay length of 630m; to reclaim 27 hectares land with 3.53M m3 dredged material; 19 hectares ground treatment for anti-liquefaction; and land area facilities such as water and electricity supporting facilities, standby power station, communication system, navigation aids, buildings, and tugboat berths etc. The project is located in the strong earthquake zone of the Pacific Rim Seismic Zone, which requires a high level of anti-seismic design.
