CCCC-FHDI ENGINEERING CO.LTD. is a well-known comprehensive large-scale survey and design company both domestically and internationally. It has comprehensive Grade A qualifications in engineering design, engineering survey, and engineering consulting, as well as Grade A qualifications in urban and rural planning, surveying and mapping, and engineering supervision. It also holds qualification certificates such as pressure pipeline design permit, Grade 1 general contracting for port and waterway engineering construction, Grade 1 general contracting for construction engineering, and Grade 2 professional contracting for electronic and intelligent engineering. Since its establishment, CCCC-FHDI ENGINEERING CO.LTD has completed over 2000 large-scale engineering survey and design, engineering supervision, engineering management, and general contracting projects both domestically and internationally, and has completed a number of survey and design projects with international advanced levels. We have participated in the construction of a number of key domestic and international projects, including the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, Gwadar Port in Pakistan, Colombo Port City in Sri Lanka, and Nansha Port in Guangzhou. In 1964, the predecessor of CCCC-FHDI ENGINEERING CO.LTD, the Design Office of the Fourth Navigation Engineering Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, was established and located at No. 1 Fuxing Road in Shamian, Guangzhou.
In 1965, we undertook the survey and design works of the first 10,000DWT water transportation project - the expansion of the deep-water wharf at Huangpu Port.
In 1966, the design office officially moved from No. 1 Shamian, Guangzhou to No. 157 Qianjin Road, Guangzhou.

In 1973, the design department was renamed as the Fourth Navigation Engineering Bureau Design and Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, and independently designed the first national excellent design award winning project - Wenchong Shipyard No. 2 Dockyard.
In 1975, it undertook the Phase I project of Xiamen Port Dongdu Port Area, the first 10,000DWT wharf in Fujian Province.
In 1979, it moved from 157 Qianjin Road to the new office building at 161 Qianjin Road.
In 1979, it was renamed as the Survey and Design Institute of the Fourth Navigation Engineering Bureau of the Ministry of Transport.
In 1980, the first 300,000 DWT water transportation project was designed - the Maltese Marshlock Port Breakwater Project, which was the first overseas project of the Fourth Navigation Institute to go global< br>
In 1981, it was renamed as the Fourth Navigation Engineering Investigation and Design Institute of the Ministry of Transportation.
In 1984, it was officially transferred from the Fourth Navigation Bureau and placed under the direct management of the Ministry of Transport.
In 1988, the Fourth Navigation Institute established the "Nanhua Construction Supervision Office".
In 1989, the Ministry of Transportation approved it as one of the first Class A supervision units for water transportation engineering, marking the beginning of China's water transportation engineering supervision with the "Huizhou First Cannon".

In 1993, with "three tasks as the outline", efforts were made to elevate the design to "three steps".
In 1994, the first general contracting project of FHDI was signed, which was the general contracting contract for the oil terminal project of Zhongshan Power Plant; Later, the Fourth Navigation Institute General Contracting Company was established.
In 1995, it was affiliated with the China Communications Water Transport Engineering Design Consulting Center of the Ministry of Transportation.
In 1997, the market area expanded from South China to East China, Central China, and overseas, entering the African market.
In 1999, it was decoupled from the Ministry of Transportation and became a subsidiary of China Harbour Engineering Company.

In 2000, the first successful proposal of the urban development strategy "Greater Nansha" was made, and the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Government fully launched the "Guangzhou South Expansion" strategy.
In 2002, we successfully obtained the survey and design work for the Gwadar Port Project in Pakistan, which was a landmark project of FHDI’s "going global" initiative.
In 2005, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Communications Construction Co., Ltd. Group.
In 2006, in coordination with the overall restructuring and listing of China Communications Construction Co., Ltd Group, it was successfully restructured into CCCC-FHDI ENGINEERING CO.LTD.
In 2007, a contract was signed for the implementation of the initial project of Hambantota Port. Afterwards, the first phase of the Hambantota Port Development Project won the "China Civil Engineering Zhan Tianyou Award (Overseas Engineering)".
In 2009, it was awarded the title of "Guangdong Province High tech Enterprise".

In 2010, it undertook the main design of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge Island Tunnel Project, which is known as the "Mount Everest" in the transportation engineering industry
In 2013, it was awarded the title of "China Construction Industry Benchmark" once every ten years
In 2017, it was awarded the Guangdong Provincial Survey Engineering Technology Research Center and the Guangdong Provincial Enterprise Technology Center
The world-renowned Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge was opened in 2018
In 2018, in the design of the fourth phase of the Nansha Port Area project, the world's first generation of fully automated container terminals was created
In 2019, it participated in the largest overseas project of Chinese enterprises and the flagship project of the "the Belt and Road" - Malaysia East Coast Railway Project.

In 2020, the Sino-Kuwait JV Guangdong Integrated Refinery Petrochemical Project, which was designed and the quay was constructed in EPC model by the CCCC-FHDI, was officially completed and put into operation
In 2021, the Shenzhen Port Xiaomo International Logistics Port, which was EPC contracted by CCCC-FHDI, officially opened for operation
In 2022, the container automation renovation project for berths 7 and 8 in the Dalanping South Work Area of Qinzhou Port Dalanping Port Area was officially put into operation, and the " U-shaped access route for external container truck perpendicular to the quay line layout" construction model innovated by the CCCC-FHDI in the world has been implemented
In 2022, The Laiki Deepwater Port project in Nigeria is completed.
