Kribi Phase I and II Deep Water Port Terminal Project, Cameroon
The construction content of the Phase I development includes one 50,000DWTcontainer terminal and a 40,000DWTmulti-purpose terminal, as well as breakwaters, land yards and other ancillary facilities. The annual throughput capacity of the container terminal is 250,000 TEU, and 1.2 million tons for the multi-purpose berth. By extending the quay wall of Phase I development for 715m, the phase II development consists of two container berths (one each of 70,000DWT and 100,000DWT), a breakwater with a total length of 675 m, and land reclamation of about 42 hectares in the port area. As an important shipping hub in the West and Central Africa, it will become one of the largest deep-water ports in the Central African region upon completion. The first phase of the project was awarded the 2016-2017 National Quality Engineering Award.
