Located in the Lingdingyang bay in the Pearl River Estuary, this large-scale sea crossing channel is collectively formed with bridges, islands and tunnels. The length of the Immersed tube tunnel is about 6.7 kilometers, the east and west artificial island together with the building on the islands is the key infrastructure for the conversion between bridge and tunnel, as well as for the sea crossing channel’s operation and maintenance. The length of the east and west artificial island is 625 meters, and the area of each island is about 100,000 square meters; A 100,000m2 public building with extremely high grade is built on each island. for prefabricating the immersed tubes, a 27,000 square meters prefabrication plant was built together with a deep and shallow dry dock with maximum water storage area of about 130,000 square meters. The Zhuhai-Macao Border Crossing Artificial Island has a new artificial island with an area of about 2.1 million square meters and 6100 meters long revetment.
